DESCRIPTION:Nous nous excusons\, mais les descriptions ne sont disponibles qu’en anglais pour cet événement. \nLe mardi 15 octobre 2024 de 16 h 30 à 20 h HAE – Il s’agit d’une projection de film gratuite. \n \nJoin Pride at Work Canada and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management for a special screening of Pride vs. Prejudice: The Delwin Vriend Story. This powerful documentary chronicles the journey of Delwin Vriend\, a man who was dismissed from a Christian university in Edmonton for being gay. \nHis fight against this discrimination led to a landmark Supreme Court case\, Vriend v Alberta\, which played a crucial role in advancing 2SLGBTQI+ rights in Canada. This documentary was produced by the Edmonton Community Foundation and the Edmonton Queer History Project and premiered in Spring 2024. \nEnjoy complimentary refreshments and mingle with fellow movie enthusiasts before the show. Following the screening\, we will have a fireside chat between Special Guest Douglas R. Stollery and moderator Jade Pichette (Pride at Work Canada). \nWe are honoured to welcome Douglas R. Stollery\, an esteemed construction lawyer\, human rights advocate\, President of the Stollery Charitable Foundation and former Chancellor of the University of Alberta. Stollery played a central role in the Vriend v Alberta case and has received many awards including the Order of Canada for his contributions to advancing 2SLGBTQI+ rights and other charitable initiatives. \nInscrivez-vous ici.

SUMMARY:FLOURISH - Virtual ERG Leader Development Program
DESCRIPTION:(Veuillez noter que cet événement est offert en anglais.) \nLe mardi 15 octobre 2024 à 18 h HAE – Cet événement payant porte sur le leadership et est ouvert à toute personne intéressée. L’événement en anglais sera présenté en ligne et le nombre de participants est limité. \n \nFLOURISH est un programme virtuel de huit semaines qui vise à développer les compétences nécessaires aux leaders des groupes de ressources pour employé.e.s (GRE*) 2SLGBTQIA+ pour être efficaces et réussir dans leur rôle. Les personnes qui dirigent des GRE 2SLGBTQIA+ ont d’excellentes possibilités de créer des changements pour le personnel bispirituel\, queer et trans. Elles sont également confrontées à des défis très spécifiques dans les milieux de travail canadiens. Bien que le contenu du programme aborde le fonctionnement des GRE\, l’objectif principal de FLOURISH sera de développer les compétences individuelles dans quatre domaines : \n\nQuestions économiques 2SLGBTQIA+ nationales et internationales;\nAnalyses de rentabilité et adhésion à l’inclusion 2SLGBTQIA+;\nPrincipes de gouvernance et de gestion des bénévoles;\nSoutien par les pairs aux personnes 2SLGBTQIA+ et aux personnes alliées.\n\nNotre programme FLOURISH pourra collectivement réaliser son potentiel en tant que leader de GRE grâce à des rencontres Zoom\, des modules d’apprentissage virtuels et du travail autodirigé. \nPour plus de détails\, les panélistes et les candidatures\, visitez notre page FLOURISH. \n* Veuillez noter que nous utilisons le terme ” groupe de ressources des employé.e.s ” comme un terme générique qui inclut les groupes de ressources d’affaires\, les réseaux d’affinité et d’autres groupes similaires dirigés par des employé.e.s et axés sur les groupes en quête d’équité.
