Adecco is currently hiring a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator for a full-time opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional with strong knowledge of shipping processes, international documentation, and supply chain coordination.

The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end shipping process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting overall warehouse and inventory operations.

  • Salary: $20/hour

  • Location: Ottawa, ON

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm

  • Employment Type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments, including packing, shipping, and tracking

  • Prepare and process all required shipping documentation such as commercial invoices, waybills, CUSMA, and B13 forms

  • Select and coordinate with approved carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation

  • Handle shipments classified as Dangerous Goods in compliance with applicable regulations

  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including inventory tracking and stock organization

  • Assist with inventory control processes, including periodic counts and reconciliation of finished goods

  • Utilize ERP systems and shipping software to manage orders, shipments, and logistics workflows

  • Provide shipment updates and tracking information to internal teams and external clients

  • Offer logistics support and recommendations, including freight quotations and shipment planning

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain processes and systems

  • Handle materials and move products using appropriate equipment, including lifting items up to 50 lbs (23 kg)

  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations

  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs documentation, and Incoterms

  • Experience handling Dangerous Goods shipments (TDG, IATA regulations)

  • Proficiency with shipping software such as UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager

  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with internal teams and external partners

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
