Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Advanced Systems Engineer to join our client’s development team in Mississauga, ON. In this role you will support the design, development, and integration of advanced control systems for aerospace thermal‑mechanical applications. This role involves requirements development, modeling, simulation, testing, and verification activities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements. You will demonstrate strong technical expertise, adaptability, and collaboration skills while contributing to complex projects with demanding schedules.

*This position is part of the controlled goods program environment. You must be eligible for CGP security clearance.

  • Pay Rate: $65.00/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Develop closed‑loop control designs for thermal‑mechanical systems

  • Develop simulation models of thermal and mechanical systems

  • Develop hardware and software requirements specifications

  • Perform hardware, software, and system integration testing

  • Write system verification plans and procedures

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful design integration and compliance with all requirements

  • Travel to internal and external customer sites to provide Control Systems Engineering support

  • Demonstrate outstanding performance in a team‑based environment to meet intensive project schedules and milestones for assigned projects

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Design Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in:

    • Requirements management

    • Closed‑loop control design

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using DOORS and/or MATLAB

  • Aerospace industry experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:

    • Thermodynamics

    • Heat transfer

    • Fluid dynamics

    • Thermal system closed‑loop controls

  • Proven experience in hardware and software requirements development and integration for Environmental Control Systems (ECS) applications

  • In‑depth knowledge of major aircraft OEM development standards is a strong asset

  • Adaptability to a variety of technical assignments and changing priorities

  • Demonstrated application of advanced skills in:

    • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)

    • Six Sigma methodologies

    • Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)

  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems in an effective, efficient, and organized manner

  • Strong listening and negotiating skills

  • Ability to interact tactfully, ethically, and confidently with internal and external customers to resolve system‑related issues

  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and guidelines, including:

    • DO‑178C

    • DO‑331

    • ARP4754

    • ARP4761

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Collaboration and teamwork

  • Effective communication across technical and non‑technical stakeholders

  • Ability to manage workload in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
