The Research Ethics & Governance Administrator is responsible for the administration and operational support of SAIT’s academic research ethics and governance processes. The role ensures the ethical, compliant, and responsible conduct of research in alignment with Tri-Agency requirements, including Tri-Council Policy Statement 2 (TCPS 2), institutional research policies, privacy and confidentiality standards, and applicable legislation.
The position provides guidance and support to faculty, staff, and student researchers throughout the research ethics and governance lifecycle and supports consistent application of institutional policies and procedures. The Research Ethics & Governance Administrator is a key member of the Unified Research Council, SAIT’s institution-wide coordinating body for research activity, and contributes operational, ethics, and governance expertise to support alignment, coordination, and follow-through across the research enterprise.
The role works closely with the Research Data Manager, Research Ethics Boards, and central service units to support effective research governance and risk management.
