Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Licensed Journeyman Carpenter to join our client’s construction team in Valleyview, AB. In this role you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made from wood, steel, and other materials. This role supports residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and building codes.

  • Pay Rate: up to $42.00/hour

  • Location: Valleyview, AB

  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, shape, and install materials such as wood, plywood, drywall, and other construction materials

  • Construct, erect, and dismantle frameworks, forms, scaffolding, and structures

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications

  • Install doors, windows, trim, flooring, cabinets, and other fixtures

  • Perform repairs, renovations, and finishing work as required

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment safely

  • Ensure work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and building codes

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site

  • Collaborate with supervisors, forepersons, and other trades on site

  • Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent experience

  • Valid carpenter certification or Red Seal required

  • 5+ years of experience in carpentry/construction

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans

  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools

  • Physical ability to lift materials, work at heights, and perform repetitive tasks

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Valid driver’s license (may be required)

  • Own basic hand tools and CSA-approved safety footwear

  • Required safety certifications, including but not limited to Fall Protection·          

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
