Adecco is currently hiring a full-time enthusiastic and hands‑on Junior Project Manager to support ongoing infrastructure projects across the regional transit authority’s property portfolio which includes stations, bus exchanges, and development sites., including 55+ transit stations. This is a newly created role resulting from recent site acquisition and growing capital investment. You will help coordinate upgrades, maintenance projects, and facility improvements over multi‑year programs.

This position is ideal for someone early in their project management career (1–3 years of experience) who wants to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility; with strong mentorship, and exposure to real construction/project delivery work.

  • Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000/annually (based on experience) 

  • Location: Burnaby, BC (local travel required)

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Support

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing small to medium capital projects across transit stations

  • Support scheduling, task tracking, site coordination, and vendor communication

  • Visit sites as needed to understand field conditions and support hands‑on project work

  • Maintain project documentation while keeping processes efficient and lightweight

  • Help ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables stay on track

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, facilities, contractors, and internal stakeholders

  • Communicate updates, flag issues, and support project workflow

  • Collaborate with the team to solve problems, remove obstacles, and keep projects moving

Learning & Development

  • Actively absorb knowledge and grow into more responsibility over time

  • Learn construction basics, project sequencing, and infrastructure operations

  • Participate in mentorship with senior project leaders

  • Build the foundational skills of a future Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, construction support, transit operations, or similar environments

  • Experience with infrastructure, facilities, or transit projects is an asset

  • Understanding of basic project workflows—not rigid PMP/Gantt-only background

  • Hands‑on mindset and interest in learning how things are built and how projects run

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Exposure to construction, maintenance, engineering, or facilities management

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and vendors

  • Curious, proactive personality—someone who loves learning and wants to “be a sponge”

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
