Adecco is currently hiring a Bilingual Contact Center Agent for a full-time remote opportunity. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who is fluent in both English and French and enjoys assisting customers in a fast-paced, call center environment.

As a Bilingual Contact Center Agent, you will be responsible for handling inbound calls, responding to inquiries, and providing exceptional service while maintaining professionalism and accuracy. You will also navigate multiple systems and escalate more complex issues when required.

  • Location: Ottawa, ON | Remote

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday

  • Contract: Temporary (with potential for extension or redeployment based on business needs)

  • Pay Rate: $19/hour

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner

  • Respond to customer inquiries in both English and French

  • Research and provide accurate information using internal systems and available resources

  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate internal teams when necessary

  • Navigate multiple systems and applications while managing calls efficiently

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when handling challenging or sensitive situations

  • Adhere to assigned schedules, call flows, and performance expectations

  • Ensure accurate documentation of customer interactions

  • Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Fully bilingual in English and French (spoken and written)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent active listening and problem-solving abilities

  • Customer service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting

Technical & Equipment Requirements (BYOD)

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection

  • Minimum: 5 Mbps upload / 20 Mbps download

  • Preferred: 10 Mbps upload / 25 Mbps download

  • Jitter: Below 10

  • (No mobile hotspots or unauthorized VPNs permitted)

Computer requirements:

  • Minimum Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor

  • Minimum 8 GB RAM

  • Minimum 238 GB storage

  • Windows 10 or higher operating system

Equipment:

  • Headset required

  • Minimum dual-screen setup (laptop + monitor or desktop with two monitors)
