Adecco is currently hiring a Project Manager, Civil Engineering for a full-time opportunity based in Toronto, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering professional who enjoys leading projects that contribute to community development, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, and managing projects from concept through completion.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations. You will play a key role in both project execution and business development, while providing technical guidance and leadership to project teams.

  • Pay Rate: $100,000 – $120,000/year

  • Location: Toronto, ON

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday

  • Contract: Permanent

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met

  • Lead project planning, including scope development, scheduling, and resource allocation

  • Provide technical direction related to grading, servicing, and stormwater management

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction

  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

  • Review designs, drawings, and reports to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with standards

  • Oversee project financials including budgeting, invoicing, and tracking of costs and revenues

  • Participate in business development activities, including identifying opportunities and supporting proposals and RFP submissions

  • Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders

  • Support contract administration and ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements

  • Ensure compliance with municipal standards, regulations, and internal processes

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role within an engineering consulting environment

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required

  • Strong understanding of subdivision and site plan development processes

  • Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, regulations, and best practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general engineering software tools

  • Strong technical understanding of hydraulic and hydrologic engineering principles

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
