Adecco is currently hiring a Cloud Security Architect for a full-time contract opportunity. This role is ideal for experienced cybersecurity professionals with a strong background in cloud architecture, risk management, and regulatory compliance within complex environments.
As a Cloud Security Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, assessing, and strengthening cloud security frameworks while supporting secure cloud migration and governance initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement controls, and ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Salary: $125,000 – $160,000/year
Location: Ottawa, ON | Remote
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Contract: 1.5-year contract

Responsibilities
Provide cybersecurity, cloud security, and technology risk advisory services to support business objectives
Assess current-state and target-state cloud architecture to support secure, compliant cloud migration initiatives
Identify security risks and control gaps associated with cloud adoption and emerging technologies
Develop and maintain IT security standards, policies, and control frameworks aligned with industry best practices
Create reusable architectural artifacts such as reference architectures, design patterns, and architecture building blocks
Support secure cloud configuration, governance, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and recommend mitigation strategies
Advise on threat, vulnerability, and technology risk management practices
Translate technical risks into business impacts and provide actionable recommendations
Produce documentation, reports, and artifacts for stakeholders and governance bodies
Support implementation planning, prioritization, and adoption of recommended security controls
Deliver workshops, provide subject matter expertise, and support knowledge transfer initiatives
Requirements
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
University degree or college diploma in computer science, information security, engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity, including cloud environments
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cloud Security Architect or senior cloud security specialist
Proven experience assessing and designing cloud security architectures in complex environments
Strong knowledge of cloud security controls (IAM, network security, data protection, logging, monitoring)
Experience identifying security risks and recommending risk-based solutions
Hands-on experience developing cloud security standards and architecture artifacts
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO standards
Experience with cloud security models, including shared responsibility frameworks and industry benchmarks
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA)
Experience aligning cloud security practices with regulatory and compliance requirements
Knowledge of third-party risk management and cloud governance practices
Experience with Azure and hybrid cloud environments
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or cloud security certifications are considered an asset
