About This Opportunity
The Senior Analyst, Total Rewards supports the delivery of total rewards programs by performing various critical, technical and administrative functions. The successful candidate acts with objectivity, discretion, judgement, and initiative to provide routine and project support to the total rewards team. This is an excellent career development opportunity to work with a great team and be involved in all aspects of total rewards, including benefits, compensation, pension, HRIS (Human Resource Information system) and reporting.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards, the Senior Analyst, Total Rewards is responsible for conducting data analysis, executing routine administration and resolving case escalations. This role works closely with the Total Rewards team, payroll and administration, and the Human Resources team.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve benefits and pension case escalations in a timely manner
- Provide technical advice and interpretation to Human Resources and business leaders on benefits and pension deductions, contributions and overpayments
- Conduct weekly data analysis on benefits and pension files and resolve data discrepancies
- Support the annual benefits enrollment process and the annual compensation cycles
- Supporting the reporting, analytics, and calculation of sales incentive payments
- Develop additional total rewards programs to support employee wellness, mental health, and diversity strategies
- Conduct research and complete data analysis requests to support Labour Relations and collective bargaining needs
- Maintain and ensure up-to-date total rewards information via the company intranet on an ongoing basis
- Manage and submit total rewards invoices for payment
- Adhoc tasks and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree/college diploma or equivalent in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
- 2+ years of total rewards experience with emphasis on compensation, benefits, and/or pension
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
- Expertise using Excel to explore large data sets (i.e. basic formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Attention to detail required to ensure accuracy of data management
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and process improvement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical data information to all levels of the organization
- Able to work effectively in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, tact, and discretion
- Ability to work as a key member of a team as well as exclusively, with minimum supervision
