What you'll do:
- Provide onsite and offsite repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of equipment including tractors, trailers, chassis, converters, reefers
- Inspect and diagnose issues quickly and repair immediate need items; ability to recognize additional maintenance and repair required
- Conduct and sign off on annual safety inspections
- Outline all parts used and input comments into the work order (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repair into Maintenance software system
- Participate in formal and informal training sessions
- Perform other maintenance duties as required
What you'll need:
- Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician or licensed Truck and Trailer Mechanic
- Registered with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training
- Prior work experience as a Technician on various types of equipment including tractors, trailers, chassis, converters, reefers; and/or mobile experience an asset
- Valid driver’s license an asset
- Able to use current technology to ensure vehicle safety and performance
- Safety minded
- Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member
- Good verbal and written communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Possess required tools
