Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Project Engineering to provide technical and program leadership within an aerospace engineering environment for our client in Mississauga, ON. This role leads a multidisciplinary Controls Systems team and is responsible for project execution, cost and schedule performance, risk management, and customer delivery across complex aerospace development programs.
You should be a strong technical leader with proven experience managing aerospace development programs within DO‑178B/C, DO‑254, and ARP4754 environments, capable of operating effectively in fast‑paced, regulated settings.
*This role requires security clearance as per CGP which would be open to Permanent Residents and Canadian Citizens.
Pay Rate: $70.00/hour
Location: Mississauga, ON
Shift: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities:
Project & Engineering Leadership
Provide project engineering leadership for the Controls Systems team, consisting of multidisciplinary engineering members
Establish task priorities and execution clarity to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
Lead engineering execution across development programs with a high degree of autonomy, creativity, and accountability
Program Planning & Controls
Develop and manage Estimate at Completion (EAC) and program cost forecasts
Build and maintain the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
Deploy and manage Earned Value Management (EVM)
Develop resource plans and ensure accurate forecasting in the MAT tool, in collaboration with PP&C and PMO
Develop, implement, and monitor program metrics to ensure accurate, up‑to‑date status reporting
Risk, Performance & Continuous Improvement
Identify, manage, and mitigate program risks
Proactively drive corrective actions to address cost, schedule, or performance variances
Monitor diagnostics and key performance indicators; provide objective, timely feedback to stakeholders
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
Serve as a key technical and program interface with internal and external stakeholders
Establish and maintain effective customer relationships and ensure customer expectations are met
Lead and coordinate remote engineering teams across locations
Clearly assign accountability for decisions and deliverables
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Systems, Software, Systems Design, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
6–8 years of experience in an aerospace engineering environment
3–5+ years of project engineering leadership experience within aerospace development programs
Hands‑on experience working in DO‑178B/C, DO‑254, and ARP4754 regulated environments
Eligibility and ability to obtain clearance for military development programs
Experience with requirements management (asset)
Familiarity with control systems
Broad technical knowledge of:
Program management principles
Aircraft and aircraft subsystems
Aerospace certification methodologies
Experience leading geographically distributed or remote teams
Strong project management and technical leadership skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management abilities
Advanced problem‑solving capabilities with the ability to operate under ambiguity
Comfort managing uncertainty, risk, and limited information
Flexible and adaptive leadership style in evolving systems and processes
Ability to identify and remove execution barriers to enable team success
Clear goal‑setting, accountability assignment, and performance monitoring
Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to results
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
