Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Program Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative and program support for one of our clients in Hamilton, ON. This role supports day‑to‑day office operations by handling correspondence, responding to inquiries, processing financial and administrative documentation, and supporting inventory and corporate asset tracking.

This role requires you to be detail‑oriented, well organized, and comfortable handling confidential information while working in a fast‑paced office environment.

  • Pay Rate: $23.00/hour

  • Location: Hamilton, ON

  • Shift: Mondays to Fridays | 8:30am to 4pm

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Type and word‑process correspondence, agendas, minutes, and reports of a general, confidential, and technical nature

  • Receive and respond to inquiries from staff, other departments, and the public by phone or in person

  • Assess needs and refer inquiries to appropriate staff for resolution when required

  • Process administrative and financial documentation, including:

    • Invoices

    • Conference and travel forms

    • Education and training paperwork

    • Cheque requisitions

    • Requests for invoices

    • Petty cash reimbursements

    • Bank deposits

    • Purchase order requisitions

  • Track payments, purchase orders, and inventory, including management of safe contents

  • Respond to internal service requests related to the issuance and return of corporate assets (e.g., computers, tablets, cell phones)

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records using a manual tracking system

  • Support general office operations and perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Post‑secondary education or training in Office Administration or Administrative Studies is an asset

  • 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, secretarial, or program support role

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail skills

  • Professionalism and discretion

  • Strong customer‑service orientation

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Reliability and adaptability

  • Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently

  • Occasional lifting of computer shipments, office supplies, and related items

  • Primarily a seated role, with some standing required for inventory‑related tasks

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
