Adecco is currently hiring a full-time motivated and customer‑focused Inside Sales Representative to join our client’s team in Brantford, ON. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, thrives in a fast‑paced industrial environment, and has a passion for sales and service excellence.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for walk‑in and telephone customers—processing orders, providing product expertise, and actively identifying opportunities to upsell gases and welding products.

  • Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

  • Location: Brantford, ON

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process customer orders and respond to walk‑in and telephone inquiries

  • Sell industrial gases and welding products to customers in person and over the phone

  • Actively upsell gases and welding products where appropriate

  • Process cash, charge, and credit card transactions and amend orders for invoicing

  • Maintain local inventory control, including surplus hard goods and cylinders

  • Perform end‑of‑day, week, and month‑end activities (SOX reports, Big 5 Report, open orders, workbench tasks)

  • Process daily bank deposits and complete cash reconciliation

  • Manage shipping and receiving for customer orders and Branch transfers

  • Assist customers with welding applications to ensure product suitability

  • Support Territory Manager(s) in servicing key accounts

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Equivalent experience in industrial supplies or customer service environments will be considered

  • Proven customer service background with a strong focus on customer satisfaction

  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products and identify sales opportunities

  • Prior knowledge of the welding industry, equipment, or processes is a strong asset

  • Proficiency in a computer‑based work environment

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience working in a safety‑focused team environment

  • Knowledge of welding products and processes is a valuable asset

  • Strong mathematical skills to calculate pricing and gross margins

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
