A career as a Credit Analyst in the team of Franchise Finance, at National Bank is to act as a credit specialist. This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact through your expertise in financial analysis and risk management, contributing to sound decision-making and sustainable growth.


Your job

  • Ensure compliance with risk management functions, workflows, and policies, including loan administration, data accuracy, portfolio quality, exposure limits, and loan security requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual credit reviews on assigned portfolio of loans
  • including an updated security review, financial covenant testing, re-rating of transaction
  • credit risk and updated financial statement and cash flow analysis
  • Meet objectives for timely and thorough credit adjudication and application processing, working closely with sales, operations, and risk management teams.
  • Carry out detailed financial and cash flow analyses to support credit decisions and portfolio evaluations.
  • Make sure to prepare clear and well-supported recommendations for approval, restructuring, or deferral of credit applications, and maintain accurate credit condition checklists.
  • Accompany and influence operational improvements by identifying opportunities for process optimization and actively participating in their implementation.
  • Identify and assess proposed amendments to credit conditions and transaction security, ensuring alignment with established lending practices and guidelines.

Within the sector (Franchise Finance), you are part of a team of colleagues and report to the AVP, Portfolio & Structuring. Prerequisites

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of experience in financial services within risk or credit management, banking, or business lending.
  • Demonstrate experience in credit adjudication and financial statement analysis.
  • Master effective risk mitigation strategies for credit underwriting.
  • Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
