Adecco is currently hiring a Foreperson for a full-time opportunity based in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction professional with strong leadership experience who can effectively oversee subcontractors, coordinate site activities, and support successful project delivery in a fast-paced construction environment.

The Foreperson will work closely with the Site Superintendent and project team to manage field operations, ensure quality and safety standards are met, and help maintain project schedules and budgets.

  • Salary: $38-$45 per hour

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

  • Employment Type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Supervise subcontractors and own forces on site to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards

  • Support the Site Superintendent in coordinating daily construction activities, sequencing, and workforce planning

  • Manage job site resources including labour, equipment, and materials to support project performance and profitability

  • Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, consultants, inspectors, and regulatory bodies to execute project plans

  • Develop short-term lookahead schedules and identify weekly deliverables for trades and internal crews

  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule milestones

  • Maintain detailed site documentation including daily reports, manpower tracking, progress photos, as-built updates, and purchase records

  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies in compliance with legislation and company standards

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and team members

  • Support coordination of site logistics, trade sequencing, and construction execution activities

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Journeyperson Carpentry certification required

  • Experience as a lead hand, foreperson, or similar supervisory role in construction

  • Strong knowledge of Alberta building codes, safety regulations, and workplace safety requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings

  • Basic computer skills including email and document preparation

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment

  • Physically capable of working on active construction sites, including lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with construction budgeting and purchasing considered an asset

  • Strong background in coordinating trades across multiple disciplines

  • Experience working in varied weather conditions and remote/site-based environments
