Adecco is currently hiring an Assistant Site Superintendent for a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction professional looking to grow within a collaborative project team while supporting the successful delivery of complex builds.

The Assistant Site Superintendent will work closely with site leadership and project teams to coordinate daily operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and help keep projects on schedule and within budget.

  • Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • Employment Type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Superintendent with daily site coordination and operational activities

  • Assist in scheduling trades, deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor work

  • Monitor on-site work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards

  • Help maintain project timelines by identifying and addressing issues proactively

  • Coordinate subcontractors and labour to ensure efficient workflow and productivity

  • Participate in site meetings, safety briefings, and daily walkthroughs

  • Support the enforcement of health and safety policies and OH&S regulations

  • Track deficiencies and assist in resolving issues through to project completion

  • Maintain accurate site documentation including daily logs, reports, and updates

  • Collaborate with project managers, consultants, inspectors, and field teams

  • Assist with short-term planning, sequencing, and layout coordination

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory, assistant superintendent, foreman, or similar construction role

  • Experience working on mid to high-rise concrete residential projects or large commercial/institutional builds

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and trade coordination

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment

  • Familiarity with construction software and site reporting tools is considered an asset

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with concrete formwork and structural framing

  • Exposure to projects such as high-rise residential, mixed-use developments, commercial buildings, or institutional facilities

  • Experience coordinating multiple trades in active construction environments

  • Valid safety certifications such as First Aid, CSTS, WHMIS, and Fall Protection are considered assets
