Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the Scotia Movil Delivery  in Uruguay ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Design and develop new features for native iOS applications (Swift/Objective-C).

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.

• Integrate applications with APIs and backend services.

• Collaborate with designers, QA, and Product Owners to ensure the best user experience.

• Write clean, well-documented code, including unit and integration tests.

• Participate in CI/CD processes and in publishing applications to the App Store.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information   

Technical Requirements

•  3+ years of experience developing native iOS applications.
• Strong knowledge of Swift (Objective-C is a plus).
• Experience integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with Apple frameworks: UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, Core Data.
• Proficient with version control using Git and experienced in Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have / Preferred

• React native
•  Experience with iOS CI/CD tools (Fastlane, App Center, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks (XCTest, Quick/Nimble).
• Experience in regulated environments (banking, fintech).
• Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure environments (Anthos, AWS, on-premise servers).

Working Conditions

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence
