The Opportunity
 
Job classification:P2031 - Human Resources Advisor
Salary range: $85,000.00 - $92,000.00
Hours per week: 37.5
Paid leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year

Reporting to the Director, Office of General Counsel, the Access and Privacy Advisor plays a key role in ensuring SAIT’s compliance with access-to-information and privacy legislation.
 
The position leads a variety of institutional initiatives, including privacy impact assessments, privacy breach responses and investigations, responding to access-to-information requests, providing expert advice and support across the institution, collaborating and liaising with a broad variety of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that privacy considerations are addressed in SAIT’s operations, identifying and mitigating risks to personal information in alignment with legal, ethical, and operational standards, and developing and maintaining SAIT’s access-to-information and privacy policies, procedures and processes.
 
The position acts as SAIT’s primary contact with both the provincial Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner and with other public and regulatory bodies on access-to-information and privacy matters.
