Adecco is currently hiring a Municipal Engineer for a full-time opportunity based in Thunder Bay, ON. This role is ideal for a motivated engineering professional looking to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects that support communities and public services.
As a Municipal Engineer, you will support the planning, design, and delivery of a variety of infrastructure projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and sustainable engineering solutions. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept development to construction support.
Pay Rate: $90,000 – $120,000/year
Location: Thunder Bay, ON
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of municipal infrastructure projects including roads, water systems, and wastewater networks
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Support construction activities through site visits, inspections, and contractor coordination
Participate in the preparation of reports, studies, and contract documents
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including municipalities, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Contribute to proposal development and project planning activities
Support contract administration including monitoring project progress, timelines, and budgets
Assist in solving technical challenges by developing practical and efficient engineering solutions
Participate in multidisciplinary project teams from initial concept through to completion
Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on all projects
Requirements
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
P.Eng designation or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) status
0–5 years of experience in municipal or transportation infrastructure projects
Familiarity with infrastructure design including roads, drainage systems, water mains, and wastewater systems
Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Understanding of municipal standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements is an asset
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
