Adecco is currently hiring a Civil Engineering Manager for a full-time opportunity in London, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced civil engineering professional with strong leadership capabilities who is passionate about delivering impactful infrastructure and community development projects.

As a Civil Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating engineering teams, overseeing project execution, supporting business planning and budgeting, and ensuring high-quality delivery of civil engineering designs and services. You will play a key role in mentoring staff, managing workloads, and contributing to the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects.

  • Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 base

  • Location: London, ON

  • Schedule: Full-time, flexible work environment

  • Contract: Permanent

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of engineering staff and direct reports

  • Support development and implementation of annual divisional business plans

  • Assist in preparing and managing annual divisional budgets

  • Oversee team workload scheduling and project coordination

  • Provide guidance, training, coaching, and mentorship to team members

  • Support HR-related functions including performance management, hiring input, and employee development

  • Contribute to technical design work, reports, and project quality assurance processes

  • Provide design and constructability feedback on civil engineering projects

  • Maintain involvement in ongoing project management activities

  • Support additional engineering and leadership duties as required

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering

  • 5–8 years of relevant civil engineering experience

  • Strong knowledge of applicable government regulations and engineering standards

  • Proven leadership skills with ability to mentor and motivate teams

  • Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
